General Building Inspection:
The General Building Inspection is a structural and mechanical evaluation, based on visual evidence for all major systems, including foundation, framing, exterior wall covering (siding), exterior roof covering (roofing), porches, decks, drainage, garages and outbuildings, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, interior systems (windows, doors, appliances, fixtures, kitchens, bathrooms), basement and attic areas, and insulation where visible. The inspection will generally take two to three hours onsite, with an emphasis on finding major deficiencies, things that are expensive to correct, or conditions which are seriously unsafe. All the information is clearly and understandably arranged in a narrative-style written report, with embedded color photos for visual reference. Recommendations are made for the repair of current deficiencies and for future maintenance, with timeline suggestions given to help prioritize the information according to importance.
